Top teams from five Asia-Pacific regions to battle for entry into the LCP Promotion & Relegation Tournament in Taipei
Asia-Pacific, August 20, 2025: The League of Legends Championship Pacific (LCP) is gearing up for its 2025 Wild Card Playoffs, scheduled from August 28–31, where five regional champions will fight for a coveted spot in the upcoming LCP Promotion Series (P&R). The winner will secure the Wild Card entry to compete live at the LCP Arena in Taipei for a chance to be promoted into the Pacific league.
The introduction of the Promotion and Relegation system has been designed to boost competitiveness and expand representation across the Asia-Pacific League of Legends ecosystem. This year, the Wild Card slot provides emerging regions with a direct pathway into the LCP.
Participating Regions & Teams
The winners of each domestic qualifying tournament will represent their regions at the Playoffs:
Indonesia – Yang Dae Pal (League of Legends Nusantara Cup)
Malaysia / Singapore – Faerie Charm (League of Legends Titans Cup)
Philippines – Inferno Esports* (Liga Republika)
South Asia – S8UL Esports (Legends Ascend South Asia)
Thailand – FULL SENSE (League of Legends Thailand Series)
*Inferno Esports enters as runner-up due to WPE’s ineligibility under Riot’s guidelines, as WPE already competes in PCS 2025.
Tournament Format
The Wild Card Playoffs will begin with a Single Round Robin, where each series is played in a two-game format with the following points system:
Win (2-0) = 2 points
Tie (1-1) = 1 point each
Loss (0-2) = 0 points
The top three teams from the Round Robin will advance to the Bracket Stage. The 2nd and 3rd place teams will meet in a semi-final, with the winner facing the 1st place team in the Final. Both bracket matches will start with a 1v1 duel to determine side selection.
All matches will be played using the Fearless Draft format.
The winner of the Final secures the Wild Card slot in the LCP Promotion & Relegation tournament, where they will compete for entry into the premier LCP league.
