
Former Tata AIG President to spearhead Aon’s integrated risk strategy and long-term growth initiatives across India
Mumbai, August 4, 2025: Aon plc (NYSE: AON), a leading global professional services firm, has announced the appointment of Sushant Sarin as Head of Strategy and Commercial Risk Solutions for India, effective immediately.

Based in Mumbai, Sarin will report directly to Rishi Mehra, CEO of Aon India, and become part of the India Leadership Team. In his new role, Sarin will lead the firm’s commercial risk strategy and execution across the country, overseeing the delivery of integrated risk solutions across key sectors and specialties. He will also focus on driving strategic initiatives aligned with Aon’s global objectives and strengthening the company’s long-term growth in the region.

Sarin brings more than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry. Prior to joining Aon, he served as President at Tata AIG General Insurance, where he led large-scale commercial operations, managed reinsurance portfolios exceeding USD 1.75 billion in gross written premium, and oversaw transformation efforts across underwriting, distribution, and client engagement. A Fellow of the Insurance Institute of India, Sarin is recognized as a forward-thinking leader known for his client-centric approach and entrepreneurial mindset.
