Shayar bags 14 nominations; Jatt & Juliet 3, Ardaas Sarbat De Bhale Di, and Warning 2 secure 10 each; Yo Yo Honey Singh, B Praak, and Jacqueline Fernandez to perform live
Mohali, August 9, 2025: The Bhutani Filmfare Awards Punjabi 2025, co-presented by EaseMyTrip, is set to light up the I.S. Bindra PCA Stadium in Sector 63, Mohali, on August 23, 2025. This year’s gala will honour the finest achievements in Punjabi cinema, celebrating films released between January 1 and December 31, 2024.
Topping the nominations list is Bibi Rajni with 16 nods, including Best Film (Critics’), Best Screenplay, and Best Actor in a Leading Role (Female). Shayar follows with 14 nominations, while Jatt & Juliet 3, Ardaas Sarbat De Bhale Di, and Warning 2 each bag 10 nominations. Mittran Da Challeya Truck Ni and Jatt Nuu Chudail Takri earned nine nominations apiece, while Je Jatt Vigarh Gya and Jee Ve Sohneya Jee each received eight.
The Best Actor in a Leading Role (Female) category sees strong contenders, including Neeru Bajwa, Sargun Mehta, Roopi Gill, Simi Chahal, Sonam Bajwa, Sunanda Sharma, and Wamiqa Gabbi. Competing for Best Actor in a Leading Role (Male) are Ammy Virk, Amrinder Gill, Diljit Dosanjh, Gippy Grewal, Jai Randhawa, and Parmish Verma.
The evening will be hosted by Maniesh Paul and will feature electrifying performances by Yo Yo Honey Singh, B Praak, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Soundarya Sharma.
