28 curated models blend Japanese craftsmanship with Indian market insights, enhancing agility and consumer connect.

New Delhi, August 12, 2025: Casio India, a subsidiary of Japan-based Casio Computer Co. Ltd., has announced the sale of its first locally manufactured watch models, marking a significant step in deepening its footprint and long-term vision for the Indian market. This milestone supports the country’s ‘Make in India’ initiative, enhances product accessibility, and allows the brand to respond more closely to evolving Indian consumer preferences.
Since entering India in 1996, Casio has built a reputation for innovation, reliability, and design excellence. The local manufacturing initiative will see 28 specially curated watch models produced in India, combining Casio’s globally trusted Japanese technology with the strengths of India’s manufacturing ecosystem.
“India has always been a priority market for Casio, and we continue to see immense potential for growth here,” said Takuto Kimura, Managing Director, Casio India. “By manufacturing locally, we can design and deliver products that resonate with the Indian lifestyle, while responding faster to consumer needs. This is not just a strategic step—it’s a consumer-first approach that reflects our deep commitment to India.”
The locally manufactured lineup, available from late July, will be supported by dedicated campaigns during the upcoming festive season. Alongside improving agility and alignment with Indian tastes, the move underscores Casio’s focus on sustainable, streamlined supply chains and long-term investment in the region.
