
Former Mint Senior Editor to lead SPNI’s communications strategy and stakeholder engagement
Mumbai, September 11, 2025 – Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) has announced the appointment of Gaurav Laghate as its new Head of Public Relations and Corporate Communications, effective September 2025. In this leadership role, he will drive the company’s communication strategy with a focus on strengthening SPNI’s corporate reputation and stakeholder engagement across its diverse businesses. Laghate will report directly to Gaurav Banerjee, Managing Director & CEO, SPNI.
With over 17 years of experience in journalism, Laghate brings a strong background in storytelling and industry analysis. Prior to joining SPNI, he served as Senior Editor and Head of the Consumer Bureau at Mint, where he extensively covered the media and entertainment sector, spanning television, OTT, advertising, and regulatory developments. His deep understanding of the industry, coupled with his strong professional network, positions him well to shape SPNI’s communications narrative in India’s rapidly evolving media landscape.
