Event highlights Pinterest’s advertising solutions and strong role in India’s wedding economy
Mumbai, September 17, 2025: Aleph, a global network of digital experts, in collaboration with Pinterest, hosted the inaugural Pinterest Advertiser Summit in Mumbai, marking Pinterest’s first such event in India. The summit explored how brands can leverage Pinterest’s visual search and discovery platform to unlock new growth opportunities, with a special emphasis on the booming Indian wedding industry.
The event highlighted Pinterest’s diverse advertising formats—including Standard Pins, video ads, Collections, Idea Ads, and Catalog Ads—designed to help businesses engage audiences throughout the customer journey. Delegates also gained actionable insights on using these ad formats to drive brand performance and boost e-commerce outcomes.
Indian weddings took center stage at the summit, backed by findings from the 2025 Pinterest Wedding Trends Report, which revealed more than 3.8 billion wedding-related searches and over 13.4 billion ideas saved globally in one year. The report also noted rising trends such as registry office weddings among Gen Z, richer color palettes, unique personal touches, and a revival of timeless elegance.
Speaking at the event, Martin Machinandiarena, Managing Director for Channel Sales at Pinterest, said: “More than 80 percent of Pinterest users are outside North America, with India emerging as one of our fastest-growing markets. Pinterest offers brands early signals of demand, enabling them to engage consumers at the inspiration stage and move them seamlessly toward action.”
