Company Announces Festive Cheer with Lower Prices on Ghee, Butter, Cheese, Paneer, and Ice Cream
National, September 18, 2025: Heritage Foods, one of India’s most respected dairy brands, today announced a major price reduction across its dairy portfolio, fully passing on the benefits of the Government of India’s recent GST rationalization. The revised prices will take effect from September 22, 2025, ensuring consumers enjoy their festive season with high-quality dairy products at more affordable prices.
“The GST rate rationalisation for India’s dairy industry is both timely and welcome,” said Brahmani Nara, Executive Director, Heritage Foods. “By easing the tax burden on staples like paneer, ghee, butter, and cheese, the Government has made it possible for us to pass on the full benefit to our consumers. For us at Heritage, this isn’t just about lower prices—it’s about ensuring that the purity our products are known for becomes even more accessible to families across India.”
Key Price Reductions Effective September 22, 2025:
UHT Milk: Reduced by ₹3 per litre (fresh milk remains unchanged as it is GST-exempt)
Ghee: Reduced by ₹50 per litre
Butter: Reduced by ₹50 per kg
Cheese: Reduced by ₹50 per kg
Paneer: Reduced by ₹25 per kg
Ice Cream: Reduced by ₹35 (950 ml pack) and ₹20 (700 ml pack)
This consumer-first initiative underscores Heritage Foods’ commitment to delivering both quality and value. By making essential dairy products more affordable, the brand aims to strengthen its role in festive traditions and daily meals alike.
With dairy at the heart of Indian celebrations—from mithai to meals—these price cuts promise to spread more joy and warmth across households during the upcoming festive season.
