Under Sumit Govind Sharma’s leadership, the company launches six specialized DiVisions to drive cooperation across 78 countries in healthcare, agriculture, skill development, tourism, hospitality, and insurance.
Mumbai, October 6, 2025: Groupe MRP has officially announced its global expansion strategy, aimed at fostering transformative collaborations between India, Africa, and Arab countries. The initiative, led by Sumit Govind Sharma—Global Managing Director of Groupe MRP and President of the Indo-African Chamber of Commerce and Industry—marks a significant step toward building long-term partnerships across continents.
Operating through six key business units, or “DiVisions,” Groupe MRP will initially serve 78 countries—54 African and 24 Arab—focusing on Healthcare, Skill Development, Agriculture, Tourism, Hospitality, and Insurance.
Speaking on the launch, Sumit Govind Sharma said, “This initiative is about more than just expanding the business; it’s about building lasting bridges between countries that will lead to shared prosperity. We’re creating a platform that can redefine how India collaborates with Africa and the Arab world, by uniting experts from diverse sectors under one vision.”

Each DiVision is spearheaded by experienced leaders from their respective domains:
Pharmaceutical & Healthcare: Led by Rajesh Sharma, who brings over three decades of expertise in healthcare and pharmaceuticals.
Skill Development: Headed by Savita John, a veteran in education and workforce development, focusing on empowering youth and women through scalable programs.
Agriculture: Managed by Dr. Nupur N. Nagwekar and Mr. Kshitij Nagvekar, combining scientific innovation with entrepreneurial AgTech experience.
Tourism: Directed by Kewal Kotian, whose 25+ years in travel and marketing aim to enhance cultural visibility and economic growth.
Hospitality: Overseen by Sumit Govind Sharma, drawing from his successful ventures such as Eve, Que Sera Sera, and TAT, to promote Indian cuisine and cultural authenticity abroad.
Insurance / Reinsurance: Focused on new risk management solutions and market expansion across Africa and the Arab world, with a major partnership announcement expected soon.
The collaboration model is designed to unlock economic potential through:
Market access leveraging India’s technological expertise, Africa’s vast consumer base, and the Arab world’s innovation-driven markets.
Agricultural innovation integrating India’s sustainable farming practices with African resources and Arab trade channels.
Pharmaceutical leadership where India’s healthcare capabilities meet Africa’s needs and the Arab world’s investment potential.
Investment and logistics synergies using the Arab countries’ strong financial and infrastructural foundations.
With a combined outreach to over two billion people, this trilateral partnership is expected to generate employment, diversify trade, and position India as a leading player in global cooperation. Groupe MRP plans to establish regional offices, forge partnerships with local enterprises, and design region-specific development programs that align with sustainable growth goals.
