Benjamin Joe elevated to Regional Vice President for Asia Pacific, succeeding Dan Neary; Devanathan’s role expands beyond India to cover Southeast Asia.
Mumbai: In a recent leadership reshuffle at Meta’s Asia-Pacific operations, Sandhya Devanathan announced that her role has been expanded to include oversight of Southeast Asia. Devanathan currently serves as Vice President of Meta India.
This development follows the appointment of Benjamin Joe as the new Regional Vice President for Asia Pacific. A Meta veteran since 2011, Joe will take over from Dan Neary, who is stepping down from his role to pursue other career opportunities.
Announcing the changes on LinkedIn, Devanathan wrote, “I am excited to share that Benjamin Joe is Meta’s new Regional Vice President for Asia Pacific from July this year. Ben is a 14-year Meta veteran, has been a key part of Meta’s APAC leadership team for over 12 years and I am excited for his leadership in leading the region for us. He will succeed Dan Neary, who will be leaving the company in a few months.
Following Ben’s appointment, I am excited also to announce that I will take on additional responsibilities to lead our business in both India and Southeast Asia.”
Devanathan, who has been with Meta for over five years, previously led Meta’s operations in India. Her responsibilities will now span across Southeast Asia as well. Prior to her India role, she oversaw Meta’s gaming business in APAC—one of the company’s top five verticals.
An alumna of the Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi, Devanathan has held leadership roles at Citi, Standard Chartered Bank, and Jio before joining Meta.
