KDM’s 1080 mobile charging stations at Maha Kumbh 2025 powered over 23 lakh devices, supporting Digital India vision and earning praise from Union Minister Nitin Gadkari
Mumbai, 18 June 2025: KDM, one of India’s leading lifestyle and mobile accessories brands, has been awarded the prestigious Zee Bharat Ki Udaan Award for its impactful Bharat Ka Charger Maha Kumbh initiative. The award was presented by Shri Nitin Gadkari, Hon’ble Minister of Road Transport and Highways, during Zee Bharat’s special program Bharat Ki Udaan.
The award recognises KDM’s remarkable contribution during Maha Kumbh 2025, where the brand set up 1,080 mobile charging stations across the event grounds. Powered by KDM-T Technology chargers, these stations collectively charged over 23 lakh phones in 45 days, enabling millions of devotees to stay connected with their loved ones.
Aligning with the government’s vision for a Divya and Digital Maha Kumbh, KDM’s initiative reflected the spirit of Digital India, supporting not just the spiritual but also the technological needs of pilgrims. The effort earned wide appreciation for helping devotees, especially those from rural backgrounds, remain in touch with family during the event.
