At FICCI meet, Naidu unveils geotagged Aadhaar system, smart infrastructure, and digital governance roadmap to transform Andhra Pradesh into a ₹1 trillion economy

Vijayawada, June 25, 2025:
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu announced a sweeping digital governance initiative that will bring all government services online by August 15, eliminating the need for citizens to physically visit government offices. The announcement came during FICCI’s National Executive Committee Meeting held in Vijayawada.
Currently, 503 government services are accessible online, with WhatsApp integration making interactions seamless. “There is no need to come to any office,” said Naidu, underscoring his vision of making Andhra Pradesh the first fully digital state administration in India.

Voice-Activated Services and Real-Time Environmental Monitoring. The CM highlighted new features like voice-activated booking for state-run buses, enabling citizens to receive transport schedules by simply stating their travel plans over a call. Naidu also introduced a real-time data infrastructure to monitor up to 50 environmental parameters—ranging from temperature and humidity to reservoir water levels and wind direction. This network will enable high-accuracy disaster prediction, including cyclones and cloudbursts, placing Andhra Pradesh at the forefront of climate tech in governance. “With this real-time data, I can now give 95% accuracy in forecasts,” said Naidu.

Geotagged Aadhaar System to Deliver Services and Aid
A major announcement was the development of a geotagged Aadhaar authentication system, linking every household to a digital family profile. This will ensure precise delivery of government services, medicines, and emergency aid during crises. “Each home will be mapped, allowing help to reach the right family at the right time,” Naidu added.

Massive Infrastructure Expansion to Power Digital Growth
To support these transformative initiatives, Naidu unveiled plans to build 20 ports along the state’s 1,000 km coastline, one every 50 km, and 14–15 airports to ensure every citizen is within an hour’s reach of air connectivity. The vital Kolkata–Chennai rail corridor will also be expanded from two tracks to four.
The CM reiterated his ambition to turn Andhra Pradesh into India’s first trillion-dollar state economy by 2047, with the state already clocking 21% GST growth last year and aiming for 15% annual GSDP growth to raise per capita income from ₹2.7 lakh to ₹65 lakh.
