The three-day mega conclave in Chennai witnessed nearly 3,000 visitors, international participation, and overwhelming response from retailers and traders
Mumbai/Chennai, 29 July 2025: Apparel Manufacturers of India (AMI), one of the country’s most respected apparel manufacturing collectives, has successfully concluded the sixth edition of its flagship event ADVAIT in Chennai. Held at the RK Convention Centre, ADVAIT 6.0 drew an impressive footfall of nearly 3,000 visitors over three days, including participation from domestic and international retailers.
This year’s edition saw unprecedented enthusiasm, with large-scale bookings pouring in not just from across India but also from neighbouring countries such as Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Singapore, and Mauritius — highlighting the conclave’s growing international appeal.
The event was graced by Padma Bhushan Awardee Mr. Nalli Kuppuswami Chetti, Partner of Nalli Chinnaswamy Chetti, who is known for championing Indian craftsmanship and textile heritage. His presence added gravitas to the celebration of Indian apparel excellence.
The grand opening featured several prominent dignitaries, including Mr. Phanith Kasam (Kasam Group), Mr. Slevakumar (Anantham Group), Mr. L. Raveendran (S. Nallaperumal and Sons), Mr. Rajasegaran (Maharaja Textiles, Malaysia), Mr. Sanjeev Poteah (Mr. Sans, Mauritius), along with Mr. Dharmesh Nandu, Founder of AMI, and the entire AMI leadership team.
Reflecting on the success of the event, Dharmesh Nandu, Founder of AMI, stated:
