Mumbai, July 19, 2025: Australia, Japan, and Singapore have emerged as the most preferred international leisure travel destinations for Indian travelers in 2025, according to the latest Ipsos Market Essentials – June 2025 report. Globally, travelers continue to favor Japan, the United States, France, and Italy as their top leisure destinations.

The study, conducted across 15 countries including India, explores leisure travel preferences, motivations, and emerging trends shaping the sector through 2025. By segmenting travelers based on their behaviors and aspirations, the report provides an in-depth understanding of how Indians and global citizens approach travel experiences in the post-pandemic era.

“Leisure travel has seen a renewed surge in 2025, driven by the desire for cultural immersion, scenic landscapes, and experiential journeys. Indians are increasingly exploring destinations that balance adventure, luxury, and convenience, with Asia-Pacific countries leading the preference curve,” said an Ipsos spokesperson while releasing the report.
