New Delhi, August 4, 2025: The Battlegrounds Mobile India Masters Series (BGMS) has introduced Gujarati commentary for the first time in Season 4, making esports more inclusive and accessible for regional fans. Co-produced by the Duolingo English Test (DET), the Gujarati feed is streamed live on NODWIN Gaming and DET’s YouTube channels. Day 1 of the season witnessed an impressive 165,000 viewers, underscoring the strong appetite for regional-language esports content.
Running from August 18 to September 14, 2025, BGMS Season 4 features 48 teams competing for a prize pool of INR 1.5 crore. Fans will enjoy 164 matches with live Gujarati commentary from popular casters Jayesh Prajapati (Engineer The Gamer), Vinod Keshwala (Firestar), and Jitendra Patel, along with exclusive watch parties hosted by Gujarati streamers and influencers.
For DET, this collaboration aligns with its mission of meeting young people in spaces they care about most. As a globally recognized and affordable English proficiency test accepted by nearly 6,000 universities worldwide—including in the US, UK, Canada, and Australia—DET has become a popular choice for study-abroad aspirants in Gujarat, one of India’s leading education hubs. By co-producing the Gujarati stream, DET is building meaningful connections with youth who balance academic ambitions with a passion for gaming.
Akshat Rathee, Co-Founder and Managing Director, NODWIN Gaming, said, “The introduction of a Gujarati feed for BGMS represents a powerful step towards making esports accessible and relatable to millions of new fans in their own language. Regional-language content is the next frontier for our industry, and Gujarat stands at the heart of that growth story. With the support of the Duolingo English Test as a key partner, we are able to create experiences that feel personal, empowering, and reflective of India’s diverse gaming community.”
Tara Kapur, India Market Lead, Duolingo English Test, added, “At the Duolingo English Test, our mission is to break barriers—whether in language, education, or access. Gujarat is a powerhouse across spectrums: it’s a leader in study abroad, a fast-growing market for gaming, and home to a globally connected youth audience. By bringing BGMS to Gen Z in Gujarati, we are proud to combine esports and education in a way that creates memorable, inclusive experiences.”
Beyond the matches, the Gujarati stream will spotlight player journeys and rising esports talent, allowing fans to connect with stories that inspire both on and off the battlefield. Fans can tune into the Gujarati feed live on the NODWIN Gaming and Duolingo English Test YouTube channels.
