Veteran media leader with 25 years’ experience to lead BIG FM’s transformation into a future-ready multimedia brand
National — August 8, 2025: BIG FM, one of India’s leading radio networks owned by Sapphire Media Limited, has announced the elevation of Sunil Kumaran as its new Chief Executive Officer. With over 25 years in media and communications and more than 14 years at BIG FM, Kumaran previously served as Chief Operating Officer. His appointment follows the exit of Abe Thomas, who led the network’s transformation since 2018 and is moving on to pursue his next passion.
