Former Rudra FC set sights on MFA Women’s Premier League title and Indian Women’s League 1 qualification
Mumbai, July 23, 2025: Capri Sports has officially launched Warriorz FC, marking a significant milestone for women’s football in Maharashtra. The club, previously known as Rudra FC, finished runners-up in last season’s MFA Women’s Premier League and now joins the Warriorz sports portfolio under the mentorship of former India captain and football icon Aditi Chauhan.
Warriorz FC will continue competing in Mumbai’s top-tier MFA Women’s Premier League with ambitions to not only claim the championship but also secure consistent participation in Indian Women’s League 1, the premier domestic competition for women’s football in India.
This marks Capri Sports’ first foray into football, reflecting its broader mission to elevate women’s sports and empower female athletes. The club will emphasize elite-level player training, access to world-class coaching, and sports science support to nurture talent and raise the standard of the game.
