Partnership marks Citroën’s entry into India’s motorsport ecosystem, bringing French engineering flair to the racetrack
Chennai, August 28, 2025: Citroën India has announced its partnership with JK Tyre Motorsport, India’s premier promoter of racing, as the Official Car Partner for the 28th edition of the JK Tyre National Racing Championship 2025 (JKNRC). The collaboration is part of the company’s transformation strategy, “Citroën 2.0 – Shift Into the New,” reinforcing its commitment to performance, innovation, and thrilling driving experiences.
As part of the partnership, Citroën vehicles will serve as safety cars and feature in choreographed drift and stunt performances across race weekends. Beyond the racetrack, the brand will engage motorsport enthusiasts through dynamic showcases that spotlight Citroën’s agility, precision handling, and signature French design.
Citroën’s involvement in global motorsport stretches back more than nine decades — from the Rosalie C6F (1931) to rallying legends like the Traction Avant, ZX Rallye Raid, Xsara WRC, C4 WRC, and DS3 WRC. The brand’s dominance in the World Rally Championship (WRC), with nine Drivers’ Championships and eight Manufacturers’ titles, reflects its engineering strength and ability to translate racing innovations into road-ready technologies.
Bringing this rich heritage to India, Citroën aims to nurture the country’s motorsport culture and create pathways for emerging racing talent.

The JK Tyre National Racing Championship 2025 kicked off at the Kari Motor Speedway, Coimbatore (August 8–10) and will conclude with the grand finale at the same venue from November 14–16, 2025.
