Pop culture festival to bring comics, cosplay, gaming, and creative fandom to Assam’s capital city for the first time
New Delhi, 26th August 2025: Comic Con India, the country’s most celebrated pop culture festival, has announced Guwahati as its newest host city, marking its debut in the Northeast. The first-ever Guwahati edition will take place on 22nd and 23rd November 2025, opening the stage to an all-new audience of fans and creators across the region.
The expansion underscores Comic Con India’s commitment to celebrating fandom across the country and recognizing the vibrant creativity of the Northeast. From comics and cosplay to anime, gaming, and experiential sessions, the Guwahati edition promises a two-day cultural extravaganza that merges global pop culture with local traditions.

The move is further bolstered by Guwahati’s growing profile as a travel destination. According to Agoda’s New Horizons ranking, the city has emerged as India’s fastest-growing destination for international travellers, making it an ideal entry point for Comic Con India into the Northeast.
