Iconic Indian literary chain marks global debut with a 3,000 sq ft experiential store at Silicon Central Mall
NATIONAL, August 22, 2025: Crossword Bookstores, India’s most iconic literary retail chain, has taken a major leap onto the global stage with the opening of its first international flagship store in Dubai. Located at Silicon Central Mall in Dubai Silicon Oasis, the launch marks a milestone in Crossword’s three-decade journey, expanding its signature blend of curated books, warm spaces, and literary culture to an international audience.
With over 120 stores across 40 Indian cities, Crossword is now charting its next growth phase with plans to reach 150 outlets by the end of 2025. Dubai, with its cosmopolitan energy and thriving book-loving community, was chosen as the ideal destination for the brand’s global debut.

Beyond books, the store also houses premium stationery, educational toys, and curated gifts.
