Multi-year partnerships with NODWIN Gaming, Qiddiya, and Sony Interactive Entertainment to fuel Evo’s next chapter worldwide
Los Angeles, August 21, 2025: The Evolution Championship Series (Evo), the world’s largest and longest-running fighting game festival, has announced a new phase of international expansion, backed by strategic partnerships and a shift in ownership. NODWIN Gaming joins RTS as co-owner of Evo, with Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) transitioning from shareholder to global sponsor through 2028. Qiddiya has also extended its global partnership through 2027 and invested in RTS, further solidifying Evo’s growth strategy.
Under the new structure, NODWIN Gaming—a leader in South Asian gaming, esports, and youth entertainment—will co-own Evo alongside RTS. SIE, having sold its stake, remains a core partner as a global sponsor, continuing to support the fighting game community through PlayStation Tournaments and future gaming products tailored for the scene.
“Evo was built by a team whose authenticity and passion for the fighting game community are unmatched,” said Akshat Rathee, Co-Founder & Managing Director of NODWIN Gaming. “We will honor that legacy while opening the door for a new generation to experience the spirit of Evo.”
Qiddiya, which first partnered with Evo in 2024, has now deepened its involvement with an investment in RTS. “Teaming up with Qiddiya strengthens the future of RTS and what we’re building with Evo,” said Stuart Saw, CEO of RTS.
The expanded partnerships aim to elevate Evo’s live events, original content, and immersive fan experiences worldwide. Evo continues to break records: its 2025 Las Vegas flagship event welcomed competitors from 60+ countries, while Evo Japan set a national attendance record with nearly 30,000 fans. The series is preparing for its European debut in Nice, France (October 10–12), which has already set new registration milestones, with further expansion planned in Singapore by 2027.
“Evo is evolving into more than an event—it’s a global hub for fighting game culture,” said Rick Thiher, General Manager of Evo. “With new partners and record-setting events, we’re building a future that connects and inspires the community worldwide.”
