Green Ganesha initiative promotes sustainable celebrations in Hyderabad and Bengaluru
HYDERABAD, August 22, 2025: Gemini Edibles and Fats India Ltd (GEF India), the marketers and refiners of Freedom Healthy Cooking Oils, has launched its annual Green Ganesha initiative by distributing 10,000 eco-friendly Seed Ganesha Prosperity Boxes. The effort is part of the brand’s commitment to encouraging sustainable celebrations during the Ganesh Chaturthi festival.
Of the total distribution, 5,000 Seed Ganesha boxes are being handed out in Hyderabad and another 5,000 in Bengaluru. Each eco-friendly murti, made from clay and infused with plantable seeds, grows into a plant once immersed, ensuring that the celebration leaves behind greenery instead of pollution.
The initiative was flagged off by Chetan Pimpalkhute, DGM Marketing, Freedom Healthy Cooking Oils, along with his team. The seed Ganeshas are being distributed to residential communities such as Ridge Towers, My Home Jewel, One City, Sai Mithra Towers, Krishnakunz Gardiniya, Malaysian Township, Rain Tree Park, Swanlake Apartments, Rainbow Vistas, Janapriya Metropolis Apartments, Satellite Apartments, Vertex Prime, and Rock Garden, among others.
