Bambolim, Goa, June 20, 2025: The Goa Market Access Expo 2025 showcased the state’s growing stature as a preferred destination for startups and innovators, drawing participation from over 100 selected startups. Organised by the Startup and IT Promotion Cell (SITPC) under the Department of Information Technology, Electronics and Communications (DITEC), Government of Goa, the Expo served as a high-impact platform connecting entrepreneurs with government officials and industry leaders.
Inaugurated by Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, the event underlined Goa’s vision of aligning its startup policies with national missions like Startup India and Digital India. “Goa now boasts 635 DPIIT-registered startups, with ₹3.9 crore in incentives disbursed to 147 beneficiaries. We are building the infrastructure and support systems that startups need to thrive, including a Global Capability Center,” said Dr. Sawant.
Hon’ble Minister for Tourism, ITE&C and Printing & Stationery, Shri Rohan A. Khaunte, emphasized Goa’s ambition to emerge as the nation’s Creative Capital. “This Expo highlights the kind of purposeful innovation and talent that Goa is nurturing. We are offering startups a complete ecosystem, not just a location,” he remarked.
The event featured panel discussions and fireside chats with founders who praised Goa’s unique blend of creativity, community, and opportunity. A key panel, “Living the Startup Life, Differently: Why Founders Are Choosing Goa”, spotlighted the state’s positioning as a “Social Capital” where ideas and people converge.
New initiatives such as Digital Mahila Sashaktikaran and Drone Didi were also announced, underscoring the state’s commitment to inclusive digital transformation. The Expo concluded with direct interactions between startups and senior officials, paving the way for collaborations and pilot projects that will shape Goa’s innovation future.
