The 2024 edition of Godrej’s acclaimed report earns global praise at the Cascais World Food Summit, spotlighting India’s culinary influence and research-led food insights
Mumbai, 2nd July 2025: India has made history at the prestigious World Gourmand Awards, with the Godrej Food Trends Report 2024 (GFTR) being named the Best Free Publication in the World during the Cascais World Food Summit in Portugal. This first-of-its-kind win for India highlights the country’s growing stature in global food discourse.
Announced by Edouard Cointreau, President and Founder of the Gourmand Awards, the accolade celebrates GFTR as “the most precise food report in the world,” recognizing its role as a visionary platform that captures the pulse of the food industry with remarkable clarity since its inception in 2018. The award was presented at the Estoril Congress Centre, with over 200 countries represented.
The Godrej Food Trends Report, conceptualized by Godrej Vikhroli Cucina—the culinary owned media property of Godrej Industries Group—collaborates with top chefs, nutritionists, bloggers, and entrepreneurs. Each edition offers research-backed insights into emerging consumption patterns and culinary innovations shaping India’s food landscape.
