GreenCell Mobility Celebrates Pride Month with Immersive Theatre and Inclusion Campaigns, Strengthening LGBTQIA+ Allyship

Interactive Forum Theatre, awareness sessions, and community collaborations highlight the company’s ongoing commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion

Mumbai, June 27, 2025: GreenCell Mobility, India’s leading provider of sustainable urban and intercity mobility solutions, is marking Pride Month 2025 with a series of impactful initiatives designed to spotlight and empower the LGBTQIA+ community both within and beyond its workforce.

In partnership with inclusion expert AVTAR, GreenCell Mobility hosted a unique Forum Theatre Performance on Microaggressions, an interactive event that allowed employees to observe common workplace microaggressions, pause the performance, and step into the scene to propose and enact alternative, more empathetic responses. This immersive exercise is designed to foster deeper awareness of subtle, often overlooked biases, equip employees with practical tools for intervention, and create a safe space for dialogue and learning.

“Our goal is to nurture empathy, encourage open conversations, and empower our people to stand up against everyday microaggressions,” said a GreenCell Mobility spokesperson. “Through engaging, participatory activities like Forum Theatre, we aim to build a workplace culture where everyone feels respected and included.”

GreenCell Mobility’s dedication to inclusivity is not limited to events—it is embedded in the company’s policies and day-to-day practices. The organization employs LGBTQIA+ team members across functions such as Coach Captains, Operations, Finance, and Administration, recognizing their diverse contributions as central to the company’s progress.

Beyond the workplace, GreenCell’s flagship intercity electric bus service, NueGo, champions women-first travel with initiatives like dedicated pink seats, live bus tracking, a 24/7 women’s helpline, and women-operated buses on select routes—earning it industry-leading trust among women travelers, who now represent over 30% of NueGo’s ridership.

The Pride Month program further includes diversity sensitization sessions, inspiring talks from LGBTQIA+ guest speakers, collaborations with organizations like Tweet Foundation and Dancing Queens to uplift the transgender community, and Pride-themed installations across offices and depots nationwide. Through these efforts, GreenCell Mobility reinforces its twin mission: advancing clean, sustainable mobility while building an equitable, inclusive society where every individual, regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation, is celebrated and empowered.
