Acquisition marks Guru Samruddhi’s foray into professional sports; GS Delhi Aces unveiled in Dubai with Paes leading the charge
New Delhi, September 11, 2025 – Guru Samruddhi House of Investments, a diversified enterprise with interests in co-operative societies, insurance, tourism, and real estate, has acquired the GS Delhi Aces franchise in the Tennis Premier League (TPL) ahead of the league’s seventh season.
Adding star power to the new franchise, Leander Paes, 18-time Grand Slam Champion and Olympic Bronze Medallist, has joined as Brand Ambassador. Paes, one of India’s most celebrated sporting icons, brings his vast experience, passion, and winning mindset to the GS Delhi Aces.
The team’s official launch was hosted in Dubai on September 10, 2025, making it the first-ever TPL team to be unveiled on an international stage. The event was graced by Sadguru Shri Guruji and witnessed participation from over 500 attendees, who warmly welcomed the team and its brand ambassador.
“I have been a part of TPL since its inception. This year is a special one for the league as it becomes India’s fourth sporting league to complete seven successful seasons, and I am delighted to be associated with GS Delhi Aces,” said Leander Paes.
The addition of GS Delhi Aces further strengthens the eight-franchise TPL, which has been pivotal in reshaping India’s tennis ecosystem and providing opportunities for both emerging and established players. The league already boasts prominent names such as Sania Mirza (Ambassador, Gurgaon Grand Slammers), Mahesh Bhupathi (CEO, SG Sports), Rakul Preet Singh (Co-owner, Hyderabad Strikers), and Sonali Bendre (Co-owner, Chennai Smashers).
