India’s largest sports community platform to introduce GRIP, a first-of-its-kind rating system for emerging sports like pickleball and padel
New Delhi, July 21, 2025: Hudle, India’s largest sports community platform, has raised $2.5 million in a Series A funding round led by Sky Impact Capital, with participation from Physis Capital, Atrium Venture, tennis legend Mahesh Bhupathi, TV presenter and producer Gaurav Kapur, and founders of Blue Tokai and Nitro Commerce.
The fresh capital will fuel Hudle’s product innovation, nationwide venue expansion, and launch of GRIP (Game Rating Index for Players)—India’s first scoring and rating system for pickleball, padel, and badminton, slated for rollout in August. The platform aims to close the current fiscal with 3 million games, building on its 3x growth in the past year and 1,50,000+ games played monthly.
Hudle plans to leverage the funds to enhance frictionless booking, match discovery, and performance tracking, while adding over 300 pickleball courts every month to meet rising demand for recreational sports.
> “At Hudle, we believe playing sports should be as easy as grabbing a coffee. This fundraise isn’t just about scale—it’s about elevating the player experience through technology, community, and accessibility,” said Suhail Narain, Founder & CEO of Hudle.
Founded by Suhail Narain, Arjun Singh Verma, and Sonam Taneja, Hudle envisions making sports a way of life for 100 million Indians by connecting players with venues and creating a seamless digital sports ecosystem.
Backing the company’s vision, Aakash Sachdev, Founder & Managing Partner, Sky Impact Capital, said, “Hudle is rewiring India’s recreational sports economy. With lifestyle diseases affecting millions, Hudle’s platform has the potential to turn fitness into a social routine and drive large-scale impact.
”Vinay Bansal, Partner, Physis Capital, added, “India’s sports ecosystem is fragmented and underpenetrated. Hudle bridges the gap through a tech-enabled, full-stack experience that makes sports accessible, social, and habitual.”
Over the past 12 months, Hudle has reported 3.5x growth in gross transaction value and 2.5x growth in revenue, cementing its position as the go-to platform for emerging sports like pickleball and padel.
