The McCann Worldgroup India CEO & CCO joins an elite group of industry pioneers recognised for shaping the future of marketing, creativity, and culture worldwide.
Mumbai, August 8, 2025: Prasoon Joshi, CEO and Chief Creative Officer of McCann Worldgroup India and Chairman of McCann Worldgroup Asia Pacific, has been inducted into the prestigious International Advertising Association (IAA) Hall of Fame — a distinction reserved for visionaries who have redefined the marketing and communications landscape.
The IAA Hall of Fame honours global leaders whose lifetime achievements have influenced the direction of advertising in their regions and across the world. Joshi’s induction celebrates his remarkable career as an industry leader, cultural commentator, and champion of purposeful storytelling, with a body of work that has shaped both Indian and global advertising.
Recognised for his multifaceted contributions across advertising, cinema, music, literature, and public service, Joshi has delivered visionary campaigns that merge creativity with cultural insight and emotion. As Chairperson of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), he has been a transformative voice in Indian cinema, while his work has also championed social causes ranging from polio eradication to malnutrition and the Clean India Mission.
> “Being inducted into the IAA Hall of Fame is a privilege and affirms what I have always believed: communication and creativity are not mere marketing tools — they are forces that shape perspectives and inspire thought,” said Joshi. “Advertising, in particular, both mirrors and shapes popular culture. To be recognised alongside those who have defined the spirit of our industry is an honour and a reminder of the responsibility to keep pushing the boundaries of ideas and impact.”
Under Joshi’s leadership, McCann Worldgroup India has become one of the most creatively awarded agencies in the nation’s history, with wins at Cannes Lions, Clio Awards, The One Show, and consistent top rankings in effectiveness. His iconic campaigns for brands such as Air India, Coca-Cola, Cadbury, Mastercard, Nestlé, J&J, Reckitt, Microsoft, and Dabur, as well as his celebrated ‘HappyDent Palace’ film — named among The Gunn Report’s ‘Top 20 Campaigns of the 21st Century’ — have left an indelible mark on the industry.
A former Cannes Titanium Lions Jury President and One Club board member, Joshi is also a National Award-winning poet-lyricist and recipient of the Padma Award for his socio-cultural impact. His induction into the IAA Hall of Fame marks another milestone in McCann Worldgroup India’s legacy of creative excellence and thought leadership on the global stage.
