Gesture aligns with ‘Sabse Pehle Life Insurance’ campaign, emphasizing safety for frontline workers
Mumbai, September 8, 2025: The Insurance Awareness Committee (IAC-Life), under the aegis of the Life Insurance Council, has donated 400 raincoats to the Mumbai Traffic Police ahead of Ganpati Visarjan Day. The initiative recognizes the vital role traffic personnel play in managing public safety during the festive season, often while braving heavy rains.
The raincoats were distributed on September 3, 2025, at multiple locations across the city. Senior officers including Shri Anil Khumbare, Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic), and Shri Pramjit Singh Dahiya, Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic), received the raincoats at Worli and Bandra, respectively. Additional handovers took place at Girgaum, Dadar, and Juhu Chowpatty in the presence of senior traffic inspectors and officials.
This initiative is part of IAC-Life’s national campaign ‘Sabse Pehle Life Insurance’, which advocates prioritizing protection and preparedness. A member of the committee said: “This gesture is our way of supporting those who protect us daily. By providing raincoats during Ganpati Visarjan, we aim to ease the burden of traffic personnel who work tirelessly in demanding conditions.”
Shri Anil Khumbare, Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic), expressed gratitude on behalf of the force, noting that the contribution would help officers continue serving the city during the monsoon.
IAC-Life, representing all life insurers in India, continues to drive awareness on the importance of making life insurance the foundation of financial security, encouraging individuals to prioritize protection before investments.
