Prioritising wellness reduces absenteeism by up to 25% and boosts talent retention
National, September 18, 2025: MediBuddy, India’s largest digital healthcare company, has urged organisations to make mental wellness a cornerstone of workplace culture following the release of the CII–MediBuddy Workplace Health Reimagined 2025 Report. The study reveals that 80–86% of Indian employees grapple with stress, anxiety, or burnout, underscoring the urgent need for structured mental health interventions at work.
The report points to a marked rise in mental health-related cases, with outpatient (OPD) claims increasing 30–50%. This indicates that employees are becoming more open to seeking professional help. Corporate adoption of mental health programmes has also accelerated, helping companies reduce absenteeism by 20–25% and improve productivity by 6–8%.
Significantly, organisations integrating wellness into their core policies recorded 1.8x higher employee Net Promoter Scores (eNPS) — a key metric of satisfaction and advocacy — and are 1.6x more likely to retain top talent.
