
Brand celebrates ₹200 crore milestone and 11% market share with message to ‘Be Vocal for Local Brands’
Mumbai, 13th August 2025 – Mankind Pharma, India’s fourth-largest pharmaceutical company, has launched a bold Independence Day campaign for its antacid brand Gas-O-Fast, urging consumers to embrace Indian solutions for home-grown digestive issues. With ₹200 crore in revenue and an 11% share of the Indian antacid market (IQVIA data), Gas-O-Fast positions itself as the Asli Indian Solution rooted in the country’s culinary traditions.
The campaign, rolled out on YouTube and Meta platforms, draws on India’s love for bold, flavour-rich food while spotlighting jeera (cumin) – a time-tested home remedy for acidity. By blending traditional Indian wisdom with modern, fizz-powered formulation, Gas-O-Fast delivers fast-acting relief designed for the Indian gut.
“This Independence Day, we are urging Indians to ‘Be Vocal for Local Brands’ and reflect on a simple truth – if our food is proudly desi and our acidity is undeniably desi, our relief should be just as desi,” said Joy Chatterjee, Vice President, Sales & Marketing Head, Consumer Business Unit, Mankind Pharma. “Gas-O-Fast isn’t just about treating acidity; it’s about reclaiming our digestive independence with ingredients rooted in our culture, in line with the Make in India vision.”
The campaign also reclaims jeera’s place as a hero ingredient in digestive care, modernised for today’s fast-paced lifestyles without losing its desi essence. “Jeera isn’t just a spice in Indian kitchens, it’s been our digestive companion for centuries. We’ve simply adapted it to meet modern needs,” added Chatterjee.
The Independence Day film is now live on Gas-O-Fast’s YouTube channel and across its social handles, encouraging Indians to choose Made in India solutions that understand their lifestyle and palate.
