Campaign highlights urgent need for CPR training, quick intervention, and heart-healthy habits to save lives

National, September 25, 2025 – MediBuddy, India’s leading digital healthcare platform, has launched the #EverySecondCounts campaign this World Heart Day to spotlight the urgent threat of sudden cardiac arrest (SCA)—one of the country’s most pressing health concerns. The initiative seeks to inspire timely emergency action and encourage people to adopt everyday practices that safeguard long-term heart health.
The campaign film underscores the relentless work of the heart and the devastating silence when it stops. Through powerful storytelling, it emphasizes that rapid intervention, such as CPR, can mean the difference between life and death, while also reinforcing the importance of preventive measures like healthy diets, regular exercise, stress management, and routine screenings.
According to the Indian Heart Journal, SCA claims nearly 40 lives per 1,00,000 adults aged 35 and above annually. With an estimated 7,00,000 sudden cardiac arrest deaths in India every year (Medanta Hospital), the need for urgent awareness and action is critical. Quick intervention and CPR training could help save countless lives.
> “Heart health cannot be an afterthought in today’s fast-paced world. In the face of a silent epidemic like sudden cardiac arrest, reactive medical aid alone is not enough. Our #EverySecondCounts campaign is a call to action—urging everyone to be prepared for emergencies by mastering CPR, while also embracing everyday habits that build lasting heart resilience,” said Manu Sankar Das, Head of Brand Marketing, MediBuddy.
Conceptualised and produced by MediBuddy’s in-house creative team, the 1-minute 54-second campaign film is being rolled out across digital and social media platforms ahead of World Heart Day. The initiative reinforces MediBuddy’s commitment to making healthcare more accessible, preventive, and empowering for individuals and communities across India.
