Partnership to enable 10,000 job postings on NCS Portal, expanding access to formal and tech-driven livelihoods

New Delhi, September 25, 2025 – The Ministry of Labour & Employment today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Zepto, one of India’s fastest-growing rapid commerce companies, to enhance employment opportunities and youth employability through the National Career Service (NCS) Portal. The MoU was formalised in the presence of Union Minister for Labour & Employment and Youth Affairs & Sports, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya.
Since its inception, the NCS portal has mobilised nearly 7.5 crore vacancies and registered over 52 lakh employers, serving as a one-stop platform for recruitment, skilling, and career counselling.
Speaking at the signing, Dr. Mandaviya said:
> “The National Career Service (NCS) platform has emerged as a unique bridge between employers and job-seekers. With strengthened integration of AI and world-class digital tools, the portal will soon enable job-seekers to identify opportunities better tailored to their skills and location. This partnership with Zepto opens new windows of opportunity for India’s youth, particularly in urban employment.”
Key Highlights of the MoU
10,000 job postings from Zepto during the MoU duration
Opportunities across gig and full-time roles in urban centres
Integration of job-seekers with e-Shram registration and social security coverage
Focus on formalisation, upskilling, and long-term employability for youth, women, and first-time workers
Ms. Vandana Gurnani, Secretary, Ministry of Labour & Employment, noted that the collaboration will give fresh impetus to secure and quality employment:
> “This MoU reflects our commitment to not just providing jobs, but creating pathways for long-term employability with social security and upskilling opportunities.”
Adding industry perspective, Kaivalya Vohra, Co-founder, Zepto, said:
> “We are proud to partner with the Ministry to integrate with the NCS portal. This is a significant step toward building a skilled and inclusive workforce for the new-age economy.
