Campaign celebrates MGL’s role as Mumbai’s energy lifeline, fuelling 28 lakh homes and 11 lakh vehicles
Mumbai, September 4, 2025: Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL), one of India’s leading natural gas distribution companies, has launched its first-ever brand campaign, Mumbai Chalta Hai MGL Par!, conceptualised by MX Advertising. The campaign highlights MGL’s pivotal role in powering Mumbai’s unstoppable pace, while showcasing the scale of its impact through powerful statistics.
For over three decades, MGL has been integral to the city’s energy ecosystem. Today, the company directly fuels more than 28 lakh households with Piped Natural Gas (PNG), powers over 11 lakh vehicles with Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), and caters to industries and commercial establishments across Mumbai.
Speaking on the campaign, Neera Phate, Head – Corporate Communications, MGL, said, “Every single day, millions of Mumbaikars depend on MGL, often without realising it. The campaign, crafted by MX Advertising, represents MGL’s transition from being perceived as a utility provider to being recognised as an enabler of the city’s everyday rhythm.

Bringing together numbers and emotions, the creatives highlight facts like “Kitchens in 28 lakh+ homes run on MGL PNG” and “11 lakh+ vehicles run on MGL CNG”. The idea was to merge statistics with everyday Mumbai moments, reinforcing MGL’s indispensability in the city’s rhythm.
