‘No Freedom Sale’ initiative uses witty OOH banter, branded delivery bags, and digital storytelling to stress that hospital bills never come at a discount

New Delhi, August 14, 2025: Niva Bupa Health Insurance Company Limited, one of India’s leading standalone health insurers, and Zepto, India’s fastest-growing quick commerce platform, have announced a strategic Independence Day partnership designed to raise awareness about the importance of health insurance through humor and relatable everyday scenarios.

The campaign begins with a playful out-of-home (OOH) execution featuring “banter” between the two brands. Zepto billboards highlight its hallmark promise of delivering a variety of products in just 10 minutes, while adjacent Niva Bupa billboards counter with the reality check that hospital bills never come with discounts. This juxtaposition aims to drive home the necessity of financial protection against medical expenses.

Extending the message into homes, Niva Bupa has introduced customised delivery bags for Zepto orders in Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Chennai. Boldly printed with the message, “Freedom sale everywhere except on Hospital Bills,” these bags act as mobile billboards, ensuring the campaign’s core message reaches consumers in their daily lives.

In addition, Zepto’s platform will feature a dedicated section showcasing real-life Niva Bupa customer testimonials, offering users authentic insights into how health insurance has supported people through challenging medical situations. The section also includes a direct connect option for users to speak with a Niva Bupa advisor for personalised consultations.

“Our Independence Day campaign – No Freedom Sale – aims to remind people that there are no discounts on hospital bills and that true financial freedom comes from being protected against unforeseen medical expenses,” said Nimish Agrawal, Director – Digital Business Unit & Chief Marketing Officer, Niva Bupa Health Insurance.“This partnership with Zepto allows us to reach a wide, urban audience and reinforce health insurance as a non-negotiable part of financial planning.”

The initiative is expected to create high recall value and encourage a younger, urban demographic to view health insurance as an essential step toward real independence.
