Over 1 lakh youth trained through vocational programs and 600+ ITI partnerships to build a future-ready workforce
India, July 15, 2025: On World Youth Skills Day, Pidilite Industries Limited, a leading manufacturer of adhesives, sealants, construction chemicals, and art materials, reaffirmed its commitment to skilling India’s youth through vocational training and digital innovation. With India’s construction and real estate sectors projected to create over 30 million jobs by 2030, the company emphasized the need for a skilled workforce to drive this growth.
Pidilite has already trained more than one lakh youth in trades such as plumbing, waterproofing, woodworking, construction, organic farming, interior design, art, and craft decoration. Through initiatives like the Pidilite Woodworking and Plumbing Centre for Advanced Skills (PWP) in collaboration with Gujarat Government’s Kaushalya University, the company offers programs ranging from short-term certifications to honours degrees, enhancing access to organized sector jobs. In just two years, the PWP has certified over 2,800 individuals, including India’s gold medallist in Joinery at the World Skills International 2024 in France.

Pidilite currently partners with over 600 Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) across Gujarat, Maharashtra, Himachal Pradesh, and Rajasthan. Additionally, the Dr. Fixit Institute offers specialized waterproofing courses for contractors, applicators, engineers, and painters, reinforcing the foundation for sustainable infrastructure.
Beyond construction-related trades, Pidilite’s arts and crafts division supports creative entrepreneurship through Fevicryl Specialists, enabling hobbyists to turn their passion into a profession by conducting certified workshops. These skilling initiatives provide end-to-end support, from mobilization and training to placements, while enhancing ITI infrastructure and fostering industry engagement through expert sessions, alumni meets, add-on modules, and on-the-job training.
