The fischer Group of Companies owner celebrates remarkable milestones, driving innovation, sustainability, and global expansion.
Bengaluru, August 17, 2025: Prof. Klaus Fischer, owner of the fischer Group of Companies, celebrates his 75th birthday today, alongside completing 50 years of service and 45 years as General Manager—milestones that reflect his future-focused leadership and commitment to innovation. Guided by his principle, “Only those who focus on the future will be successful,” Fischer has transformed the company into a global enterprise with 4,700 employees and a turnover exceeding €1.11 billion in 2024.
Having joined the company at 25, Fischer quickly rose to leadership, steering the business through global competition, technological change, and evolving customer needs. His tenure has been marked by strategic expansions, including acquisitions of Upat GmbH & Co. KG and ROCCA Bauchemie GmbH & Co. KG, which strengthened the fastening systems and chemical divisions. The creation of fisco (2015) and fischer Electronic Solutions (2016) further positioned the group as a leader in composites and electronics.
Fischer’s vision extends beyond business growth. He introduced a mission statement as early as 1987, embedding values of innovation, reliability, and accountability into the company’s DNA. This led to the fischer ProcessSystem, inspired by KAIZEN, and the formation of fischer Consulting in 2004 to support efficiency improvements internally and externally.
His passion for education and technology outreach is evident through fischertechnik construction kits, which inspire young learners in over 60 countries. He also invests in employee training, health, and well-being, establishing the Klaus Fischer Education Centre in 2010 and promoting workplace sustainability through the fischer Sustainability Campus.
Beyond the company, Fischer founded the Klaus Fischer Foundation for Children and Youth Education in 2015, supporting numerous institutions and projects worldwide. His contributions have earned him multiple honors, including Germany’s Cross of Merit, the Global DIY Lifetime Award, and honorary titles from universities in Shanghai, Vienna, Stuttgart, and Padua.
Looking ahead, Fischer remains focused on advancing digitalisation, robotics, and AI within the group. The fischer BauBot construction robot and the fischer Innovation Campus exemplify this direction. With operations in 50 countries and exports to over 120, the group is now preparing to establish its 51st company in Saudi Arabia.
Reflecting on the journey, Prof. Fischer shared, “It is very important to me that we focus on tomorrow and the day after tomorrow and prepare our company for the future. My greatest wish is to stay healthy and see our passion for this company continue with strength and enthusiasm.”
