Recognition for Dettol Banega Swasth India and Self-Care for New Moms & Kids initiatives underscores Reckitt’s purpose-led commitment to global health

National, July 16, 2025: Reckitt, a leading global consumer health and hygiene company, has received two prestigious accolades at the Global Health Awards 2025, hosted at the historic House of Commons, UK Parliament, London. Presented by The Lord Loomba, CBE, the awards recognise Reckitt’s outstanding contribution to advancing healthcare and improving community well-being globally.
At this esteemed international gathering of healthcare leaders and changemakers, Reckitt was honoured in two key categories:
Public Health Champion Award – for the flagship Dettol Banega Swasth India campaign, India’s longest-running private sector-led public health movement.
Community Impact Award – for the transformative Self-care for New Moms and Kids Under Five initiative.
These awards celebrate Reckitt’s purpose-driven approach to healthcare—promoting hygiene, sanitation, maternal and child health, and empowering communities through education, awareness, and sustainable behaviour change.
Ravi Bhatnagar, Communications and Corporate Affairs Director, South Asia, MENARP & Africa, Reckitt, said:
“At Reckitt, we believe access to quality health and hygiene is a fundamental right, not a privilege. Being recognised at the Global Health Awards 2025, held at the Palace of Westminster, is a powerful reminder of the impact created when purpose translates into action. Hygiene remains the foundation of good health, and collective action drives lasting change. These awards reaffirm our commitment to building healthier communities worldwide.”
Launched in 2014, Dettol Banega Swasth India has championed hygiene, sanitation, and preventive care for over a decade, reaching millions through impactful behaviour-change campaigns aligned with Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
Similarly, the Self-care for New Moms and Kids Under Five initiative focuses on strengthening maternal and child health by empowering mothers, caregivers, and frontline workers with self-care literacy, preventive health awareness, and community-level support systems.
Organised by WBR Corp, the Global Health Awards are among the most prestigious honours in international healthcare, celebrating innovation, excellence, and impactful contributions from healthcare leaders, organisations, and changemakers worldwide.
