
SCNL strengthens its regional leadership with 165 branches and a portfolio exceeding ₹1,500 crore across seven Northeastern states

Satin Creditcare Network Limited (SCNL), one of India’s leading microfinance institutions, has expanded its footprint to Mizoram, marking its first branch opening in Aizawl. With this move, SCNL becomes the first major microfinance institution to operate in Mizoram, further advancing its mission to deepen financial inclusion across underserved regions.
This strategic expansion cements SCNL’s leadership in the Northeast, where it now operates in seven states with 165 active branches, managing a robust portfolio of over ₹1,500 crore as of June 30, 2025. With Mizoram added, SCNL’s presence spans 26 states and four union territories, making it one of the most extensive microfinance networks in India.
Serving more than 1,00,000 villages, SCNL focuses on empowering rural and semi-urban communities—76% of its operations are concentrated in rural areas. Its Mizoram expansion aligns with its vision to create sustainable economic opportunities and support local entrepreneurship in new geographies.
