
Signify and BharatCares partners to illuminate 58 Gram Panchayats in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh
Under the ‘Har Gaon Roshan’ CSR initiative, 2,000 streetlights are being installed to enhance rural safety, visibility, and sustainable development in Uttar Pradesh
Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh | August 4, 2025: In a significant move towards rural development and sustainable infrastructure, Signify, the global leader in lighting, has partnered with BharatCares to install 2,000 streetlights across 58 Gram Panchayats in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. The initiative, part of Signify’s flagship CSR program ‘Har Gaon Roshan,’ is expected to benefit more than 2.4 lakh residents by improving safety, mobility, and the overall quality of life in underserved communities.
The formal letter of commitment for the project was exchanged between the District Administration of Ayodhya and Signify in the esteemed presence of Smt. Anandiben Patel, Hon’ble Governor of Uttar Pradesh. The initiative aligns with Signify’s global vision of creating a #BrighterLivesBetterWorld and underscores its focus on leveraging innovative lighting solutions to empower communities.
