National | July 8, 2025: In a move to enhance everyday transportation across the country, Uber India today announced the rollout of several new features designed to improve affordability, accessibility, and convenience for Indian commuters. With innovations like Price Lock, Wait & Save, Uber for Seniors, Airport Priority Access, and more, Uber is doubling down on customized, feedback-driven solutions for the diverse needs of its rider base.
India remains one of Uber’s fastest-growing markets, with over 1.4 million driver-partners serving commuters across 125 cities. These newly launched tools reflect Uber’s commitment to delivering a personalized, value-driven experience for both daily travelers and occasional users.
> “At Uber, we’re committed to serving the evolving needs of Indian commuters — whether they value savings, speed, comfort, or simplicity,” said Prabhjeet Singh, President, Uber India & South Asia. “These new features are designed to meet people where they are — whether they’re seniors, pet parents, heavy-shippers, or everyday metro users. We’re raising the bar on what daily mobility can and should feel like.”
Key New Features Introduced:
Affordable Ride Innovations
Wait & Save (Pilot in 10+ cities): Offers riders lower fares in exchange for a longer wait time. Ideal for those with flexible schedules.

Making Uber More Accessible
Uber for Seniors (Launching July 2025): A simplified version of the app for older adults with larger buttons, fewer steps, and real-time trip tracking for family members.
Courier XL (Live in Delhi NCR & Mumbai): Send bulky parcels up to 750 kg, including furniture and appliances.
Uber Pet (Live in Delhi, Mumbai & Bengaluru): A dedicated ride option for pet parents traveling with dogs or cats.
Enhanced Comfort and Convenience

The most seamless post-flight experience—walk from terminal to waiting Uber with minimal delay.
