Mumbai, September 2, 2025: After a spectacular theatrical run with box office collections crossing ₹800 crores*, Vicky Kaushal’s magnum opus Chhaava has now conquered television, drawing 39.2 million** viewers during its World TV Premiere on Star Gold on August 17. This milestone cements Chhaava as the biggest non-franchise television premiere of 2025.
Timed to coincide with Independence Day, the premiere carried cultural significance. For the first time, the film was simulcast in both Hindi and Marathi, enabling audiences to experience the story of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj not only as a cinematic spectacle but also in the language of its history and legacy.
Enhancing the viewing experience, Star Gold hosted a special roundtable featuring Vicky Kaushal, Vineet Kumar Singh, Divya Dutta, and director Laxman Utekar, offering audiences behind-the-scenes insights. Fans were also treated to unseen deleted scenes, making the event more engaging.
