Completed 15 months ahead of schedule, the landmark project ranks among the world’s top 10 exhibition centers and symbolizes Vietnam’s rapid development.
Hanoi, August 20, 2025: Vingroup has been awarded the First-Class Labor Order in recognition of its outstanding achievements in developing the National Exhibition Fair Center, a state-level key project in Hanoi. The honor was conferred during the inauguration and groundbreaking ceremony of national projects commemorating the 80th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day (September 2, 1945 – September 2, 2025).
The National Exhibition Fair Center stands among the world’s 10 largest exhibition facilities, covering an area of approximately 900,000 square meters. Designed as a premier destination for international trade fairs, exhibitions, and large-scale events, the center is envisioned as a new symbol of Hanoi’s transformation and Vietnam’s growing role in global integration.
Construction began on August 30, 2024, and was completed on June 27, 2025—15 months ahead of schedule—setting a new benchmark for speed and efficiency in Vietnam’s construction sector. At its peak, the project mobilized about 3,000 engineers and workers, hundreds of contractors, and nearly 1,000 heavy machines, working around the clock to deliver the project in record time while maintaining international standards of quality and safety.
At the heart of the complex is the Kim Quy Exhibition Hall, one of the world’s largest circular exhibition halls, spanning 130,000 square meters with a central height of 56 meters. Inspired by the Golden Turtle God (Kim Quy) of Co Loa legend, its design features a 24,000-ton steel dome covered with ultra-light fiberglass fabric that enhances natural light, energy efficiency, and sustainability in line with green building standards.
The facility also includes the VinPalace International Convention Center, four large outdoor plazas, landscaped parks and lakes, and extensive parking facilities. With the capacity to host both mega exhibitions and mass cultural events, the center is set to redefine Vietnam’s MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) industry.
Speaking at the ceremony, Nguyen Viet Quang, Vice Chairman and CEO of Vingroup, said:
“Receiving the First-Class Labor Order at the inauguration of the National Exhibition Fair Center is a profound honor for all Vingroup employees. We remain committed to operating this center successfully and contributing to Vietnam’s emergence as a leading global destination for world-class political, economic, cultural, and social events.”
The inauguration also marks the lead-up to the National Achievements Exhibition – 80 Years of Independence, Freedom, and Happiness, scheduled from August 28 to September 5, 2025, where all provinces, ministries, and enterprises will participate in a single national-scale showcase expected to attract millions of visitors.
The project not only demonstrates Vingroup’s strong execution capabilities and financial strength but also highlights the rising role of Vietnam’s private enterprises in nation-building and global integration.
