Indie dogs take the spotlight: A Film and Book that tug at the heartstrings.
Mumbai: On June 3rd, the Rotary Club of Bombay launched a heartfelt two-minute film highlighting the plight of Indie dogs. The film, produced by Nabeel Abbas, Founder and CEO of Epigram, features acclaimed actor Pooja Bhatt, who also lends her voice to the narrative. The script was penned by Anushree Kandalkar.
The initiative was conceived by Ramesh Narayan, who shared, “Everyone contributed their time and talent as a labour of love.”
Also unveiled that day was Missy’s Musings, a visually rich coffee table book designed by Creative Director Dhananjay Khotpal. The book compiles Ramesh Narayan’s popular social media posts under the same name — written from the whimsical perspective of his Indie dog, Missy. “Audiences seemed to really enjoy interacting with a ‘dog that writes’,” he adds.
Together, the film and the book aim to reposition the Indie dog as a loving, resilient, and caring companion. Ramesh’s message is simple but powerful: Don’t Shop. Adopt an Indie.
