Dr. Dipak Limbachiya of Eva Women’s Hospital highlights novel surgical techniques for bowel endometriosis and endometrial carcinoma, offering safer, minimally invasive solutions.

Ahmedabad, August 20, 2025: Renowned laparoscopic onco-gynaec surgeon and founder of Eva Women’s Hospital, Dr. Dipak Limbachiya, has added another milestone to his distinguished career with the publication of two new research papers in reputed international medical journals. His studies focus on pioneering techniques for the treatment of endometrial cancer and bowel endometriosis, two of the most complex conditions in gynaecological oncology.
One paper, published in the Journal of the Society of Laparoscopic & Robotic Surgeons (SLS), explores a single-stapler laparoscopic resection and anastomosis technique in patients with bowel endometriosis. The study, conducted on 17 women treated between January 2023 and June 2024, demonstrated smooth recoveries, no need for diversion stomas, and significant relief from debilitating symptoms such as dysmenorrhoea and painful bowel movements. The results underline the safety, efficacy, and patient benefits of this minimally invasive approach.
The second study, featured in Science Direct, examined the role of intra-operative frozen section (IFS) in improving surgical decision-making for endometrial carcinoma. Conducted on 100 patients between March 2018 and September 2024, the research showed a 97% concordance with final histopathology, with particularly high accuracy in assessing myometrial invasion (93.7%) and lymph node involvement (98.3%). The findings confirm IFS as a vital intra-operative tool that helps tailor surgeries while reducing unnecessary morbidity.
Commenting on the dual publications, Dr. Limbachiya said, “Both studies reflect years of dedicated efforts aimed at improving outcomes for women suffering from complex gynaecological conditions. Their recognition in international journals is deeply motivating. At Eva Women’s Hospital, we remain committed to advancing minimally invasive surgical techniques that prioritise patient safety and faster recovery.”
Alongside his clinical expertise, Dr. Limbachiya is widely respected for his contribution to medical education. Since 2012, he has trained over 4,000 doctors globally, helping to spread advanced laparoscopic practices worldwide.
