Set against the backdrop of Diwali preparations in a modern Indian household, the film depicts children playfully enacting the Ramayan, while the house help, Shabari, prepares kheer using Khetika dry fruits—symbolizing prosperity and purity. Initially intent on working the next day without a break, Shabari is gently reminded by one of the children, “Diwali to aapke ghar mein bhi hai na,” prompting her and the family to recognize her contribution with gratitude. The mother offers Shabari the kheer she made, along with a Khetika gift box, reinforcing the message that while rituals brighten homes, acts of kindness truly enrich celebrations.
