Industry veteran departs after a celebrated run leading integrated campaigns for marquee brands; next chapter awaited.
Mumbai: Ranjeev Vij, Executive Director at TBWA\India and Managing Director of Nissan United, has announced his departure from the agency, industry sources confirmed. His last working day will be May 2, 2025.
Over his tenure, Vij played a pivotal role in shaping integrated advertising, digital, and media strategies for brands like Nissan, Air India Express, Philips, and Eicher Motors. His leadership saw the launch of the new Nissan facelift campaign, which went on to win Gold for Best Integrated Marketing Campaign and Silver for Best Product Launch Campaign.
With a career spanning more than 25 years across top advertising networks, consultancies, and digital-first firms, Vij is widely regarded as one of India’s leading marketing strategists. He previously held leadership roles at Ogilvy, McCann, BBDO, Zeno, Cognizant, and Adfactors PR.
Among his many achievements, Vij was instrumental in launching Proximity — BBDO’s CRM and digital arm — in India, building Cognizant’s digital marketing practice in the UK, and setting up real-time social media command centres for major brand initiatives. At Adfactors PR, he helped scale the firm’s digital operations significantly.
