Mumbai: Offering a unique blend of comedy, cultural experiences, and physical challenges, Sony BBC Earth is premiering the second season of ‘Tribal Bootcamp’. In the series, Joel Dommett and Nish Kumar will be seen navigating the breathtaking Andes to the remote islands of Japan and Tahiti, going beyond their comfort zones. Viewers will be in for a virtual expedition as they will get a closer look at the lives of these diverse communities. The six-part series premieres on the Sony BBC Earth channel on 17th March at 09:00 PM.
‘Tribal Bootcamp’ is a mix of comical and gruelling attempts of Joel Dommett and Nish Kumar trying to master skills passed down through generations. From the extreme heights of the Peruvian Andes, where they struggle to keep pace with seasoned porters carrying tourist gear, to the all-day intense rhythmic drumming at Japanese Kodo drumming school, Joel and Nish face challenges like they have never seen before. The duo must learn to ride and herd cattle across the vast Pampas and compete in a strongman competition as they foray into the world of Tahitian rock lifting.
The laughs and trials continue as Joel and Nish dive into the world of Japanese sumo wrestling, gaining rare access to a professional training facility. Their rigorous preparation leads to a wrestling match with the local wrestlers on the Oki Islands. Finally, they face the demanding sheep shearers of New Zealand, where the challenge extends beyond the physical labour to the complex social landscape.
Don’t forget to join Joel Dommett and Nish Kumar on their extraordinary expedition in ‘Tribal Bootcamp’ on March 17, 2025, at 09:00 PM only on Sony BBC Earth.
