Tata Copper+ makes its television and digital debut, celebrating a timeless Indian tradition

In its first-ever television and digital campaign, Tata Copper+ reintroduces the centuries-old Indian tradition of drinking water from copper vessels that blends heritage, health, and everyday convenience for the modern consumer.

Mumbai: Tata Copper+, a non-carbonated water-based beverage inspired by age-old Indian practices, debuts on television and digital platforms. The product draws from the deep-rooted tradition of storing and drinking water from copper vessels, a habit cherished in Indian households for generations due to its wellness benefits. As the only truly value-added water based beverage in its category, Tata Copper+ brings this legacy into a modern, convenient form, making it easier than ever for consumers to stay connected to their roots.

Speaking about the campaign, Partha Biswas, President and Head – RTD Business, Tata Consumer Products, said, “We have always believed in creating products that are rooted in trust and, more importantly, reflect the evolving needs of Indian consumers. With Tata Copper+, we bring alive the timeless wellness benefits of copper in a format that fits today’s lifestyle. This campaign is a celebration of shared values across generations and a reminder that the wisdom of our past still holds relevance in the present.”

The ad film brings this connection to life through a simple yet evocative story set on a train. The film opens with a bottle of Tata Copper+ placed inside a train berth. Two passengers are seated opposite each other. As one of them, a senior passenger clears space on the table for his tiffin and places a traditional copper water bottle beside it. At the same time, the younger man places a Tata Copper+ bottle next to his own meal.

There is a brief pause, followed by a heartwarming moment of connection. The elder man notices the copper-inspired design of the Tata bottle, and his expression changes. The younger passenger smiles and playfully gestures ‘Same pinch’, creating a moment of warmth and shared understanding. The ad closes with the older man affectionately pinching the young man’s cheek and saying with a smile, “Same to same, beta,” highlighting the beautiful continuity between tradition and modernity.

With Tata Copper+, Tata Consumer Products continues its legacy of blending trust, tradition and thoughtful innovation, offering a product that celebrates Indian heritage while fitting seamlessly into the pace of today’s life. The campaign reflects the spirit of Tata, honouring the past while moving forward with purpose.
