Third Wave Coffee Expands National Presence with 165 Cafés, Opens 11 New Outlets Across Major Indian Cities in One Day

The coffee-first QSR brand surpasses the 150-store milestone with strategic launches in Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Mysuru, and its first café along the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway.

Mumbai, 1st July, 2025: Third Wave Coffee, India’s fastest-growing coffee-first QSR brand, has marked a significant milestone by opening 11 new cafés across Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, and Mysuru — all launched on the same day. This expansion takes the brand’s national footprint to an impressive 165 cafés across 12 cities, reinforcing its position as a leader in India’s specialty coffee market.

The new cafés highlight Third Wave Coffee’s dual strategy of deepening presence in established markets such as Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai, and Hyderabad, while accelerating growth in emerging cities like Chennai and Mysuru, where it debuted last year. The latest openings include cafés in high-footfall urban neighbourhoods and mobility-driven locations, with the brand’s first café on the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway marking its strategic entry into key transit corridors.

“This expansion underscores our commitment to scalable and sustainable growth. By maintaining a sharp focus on store-level profitability, operational excellence, and disciplined capital deployment, we’re building a business poised for long-term success,” said Rajat Luthra, CEO, Third Wave Coffee. “Our recent investment in an advanced roastery with 8× automation capability has increased our production capacity to support up to 700 stores, enabling us to efficiently meet growing demand across India.”

Third Wave Coffee’s journey since its inception in 2015 reflects its unique blend of quality, innovation, and community-first ethos, which has resonated strongly with India’s evolving coffee culture. From pioneering specialty coffee experiences to expanding its footprint into high-potential corridors of travel, the brand continues to redefine how Indians enjoy their coffee.

Looking ahead, Third Wave Coffee plans to open over 100 new cafés in FY26, with a firm focus on strong unit economics, customer experience, and sustainable profitability. “Our goal is to meet our consumers wherever they are — whether in bustling cities, cozy neighbourhoods, or on the move at key transit hubs — while delivering the consistent, high-quality coffee experience they expect from us,” added Luthra. “We’re always open to feedback and would love to bring Third Wave Coffee to even more communities across India.”

With this ambitious yet disciplined expansion, Third Wave Coffee continues to solidify its leadership in India’s dynamic café landscape, offering an elevated, consistent coffee experience tailored to the tastes of a new generation of coffee lovers.
