Managing $60B+ in media investments, WPP Media supports 75% of the world’s top advertisers across 80+ markets.

Mumbai: WPP, the global leader in marketing and communications, has announced the launch of WPP Media, an AI-powered media company, marking a significant strategic rebranding. WPP Media replaces GroupM as the name of WPP’s global media operations.

Managing over $60 billion in annual media investments and operating in more than 80 markets, WPP Media partners with over 75% of the world’s top advertisers. Its core media agencies — Mindshare, Wavemaker, and EssenceMediacom — will continue to operate as distinct brands under the WPP Media umbrella, delivering dedicated teams to clients while leveraging shared capabilities, technologies, and support systems.

WPP Media is deeply integrated into WPP’s broader global network through WPP Open — the company’s AI-enabled marketing platform. WPP Open connects creative, production, data, commerce, and personalized media delivery into a unified system. The platform is backed by £300 million in annual investment and partnerships with leading AI companies.

With a fully integrated offering, WPP Media empowers clients to align media, data, and production strategies, enabling the orchestration of owned, earned, shared, and paid media for personalization at scale.
